Description

This course "3 Stories Building Design in Etabs and SAFE beginning to end" will guide you through all the steps which you need to know in order to properly model, analyze and design a Reinforced concrete building.

This course will lay the foundation for you becoming a good structural engineering. I have taken my time to walk you through all steps.

You need to know that there is Gap between what you learn in school and what is actually done in construction site. This is why after you Bachelors and Masters, you try to Enroll in one or two internship program or buy courses online; so that you can learn from experience Engineers who are already working in the construction world.

This course will walk you through:

1. Getting the Building plan from Autocad.

2. Deciding the Column and Beam positioning.

3. Modelling the Building in Etabs.

4. Modelling the Staircase.

5. Defining the Concrete properties and Rebar Properties

6. Defining the Load Patterns (Dead load, Super Dead load, Live load, Roof live load, Earthquake load in x and y directions, wind load in x and y directions, then finally the earthquake due to drift.

7. Applying the Various loads (Super dead load, Live loads, Earthquake Loads and Wind Loads) to the building.

8. Analyzing the Effects of these loads on the building.

9. Various Structural Vertical and Horizontal Irregularities checks which need to be done so that the building pass those checks.

10. Designing the Building.

11. Re-designing the failed members in the building.

12. Detailing of the Beams using Etabs CSI Detailing.

13. Detailing of the Columns using Etabs CSI Detailing.

14. Analysis and design of the Slab in CSI SAFE.

15. Detailing of the Slab in CSI SAFE.

16. Analysis and Design of the Staircase in Microsoft Excel.

17. Modelling the foundation (Mat Foundation) in CSI SAFE.

18. Analysis of the foundation (Mat Foundation) in CSI SAFE.

19. Designing the Foundation (Mat Foundation) In CSI SAFE.

Using the ACI and ASCE Building Code.

The Code doesn't make much difference. The knowledge of the building analysis and design will make the difference. You just follow your building code guide with the knowledge and understanding you have already gained from this course.

You will be confident enough to design a real life building by the time i walk you through all these steps.

See you soon!
