Abaqus Tutorial for Engineering Student (Beginners)
Essential Abaqus Course for Absolute Beginners
Description
Welcome to the Essential Abaqus Tutorial for Engineering Students, the only course you need to how to use Abaqus for the first time. This course has been designed for second and third-year engineering students at University, who want to learn more about FEA software (ABAQUS).
What you will get in this course:
** This Course is divided into four sections and in order to get the most advantage of it, I highly recommend you to follow the course in order as the basic terms have been only explained in the initial sections.
** This course will teach you how to use the software only, some theory background is covered however the learner requires to have a basic finite element theory understanding. If you do not have any knowledge of FEA theory I suggest you read ABAQUS theory documentation and A First Course in the Finite Element Method by Logan.
Section 1:
An overview of this tutorial.
Section 2: (Please do not miss this section if you have never used Abaqus)
This section begins with the fundamentals of Abaqus such as Part, Properties, Assembly, Step, Interaction, Load, Mesh and Job. In this section, you will learn the logic behind each input parameter. It is important that you follow this section in order so you can learn software more efficiently.
Section 3:
This section contains eight basic engineering examples to help you understand the software and its ability. Most examples contain both analytical and numerical calculations, which helps you compare results and check the accuracy of the numerical models. The following examples are in these sections: Simple truss, Bending and Torsion, Simply supported beam, Composite beam, Bracket analysis under distributed load, buckling analysis, Shell circular simply supported beam, symmetrical boundary condition
Section 4:
This section is designed for improver students and is not recommended for students who missed sections 2 and 3 of this course, as the basic concept has not been explained in section 4. This section has seven examples which challenge your ability for real-life engineering problems. The following examples are in these sections: Stadium roof, Stadium roof collapse, single lap adhesive joint, three-point bending on reinforced concrete beam, Hyperelastic materials and bracket bolted joint.
I hope you all enjoy these tutorials. Please send me a message if you think anything can improve the quality of this course as I am updating the course regularly.
Many thanks
Armin
**This course is only intended for Serious Students. A lot of effort (over 100 hours) has been done to provide a practical understanding of the Software, theory and analysis which is not available anywhere on the internet.
** Abaqus version 6.19 is used for this course, therefore in order to open files in the recourses section, you should have this version or any later version. However, you can still use the older version to do this tutorial.
** These course examples are not intended to apply to any particular situation. Students are cautioned to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy and results of their analyses. The author shall not be responsible for the consequences of any errors or mistakes that may appear in this course.
