Academic Thesis Proposal Training
Organizing a Master's and Doctoral Thesis Proposal
Description
The study was inspired by the thesis study titled "The Transformative Effect of Political Shocks on Violent Non-State Actors: The Case of Lebanese Hezbollah (2005 - 2020)", which I prepared at the Social Sciences Institute of Ege University. Our thesis was awarded the "Best Doctoral Thesis Award (2021)" by Karadeniz Technical University. There is a serious lack of information about the problems encountered during academic research and the method to be followed. We have prepared such training so that you will not face the difficulties we have encountered. In our study, the steps of an academic study were evaluated both theoretically and practically and explained through our thesis. In particular, the instruments of the new generation of academic research are emphasized and it is aimed to be beneficial for future studies. Our training consists of 10 parts. In our first lesson, we focused on the basic logic and components of the thesis proposal. In our second lesson, the steps to be followed while conducting academic research were discussed. In our next lesson, we continued our education on how to do a literature review. In our second part, where the research proposal is based, we focused on creating a research problem, writing the research question, making assumptions, and focusing on the necessary instruments to form the basis of the study planned to be done at the end of the chapter. In the last part, we have given information on how we will carry out our research and will highlight the research we have planned. We will give detailed training on some of the programs included in our training later.
Hope it is useful...
