During this course, learners explore strategies to master ACT Math. Often, test takers struggle on the math test because they lack strategy or vocabulary. Without a test accommodation, test takers do not have unlimited time to demonstrate mastery. Having teacher-tested and student-approved ACT math strategies help test takers make the most of the time provided. Plus, vocabulary familiarity improves understanding of item structure.
During ACT Math Review, students attempt authentic ACT Math items, then compare their problem-solving approach with that of ACT Certified Educator, Jillian Smart. Learners are encouraged to minimize distractions during course activities to maximize learning. Learners are encouraged to ask questions of one another and communicate with the course instructor to maximize learning. And, learners are encouraged to engage with the materials and resources as outlined; cramming is not advised.
