Advance Leadership Model by Dr. Darsha D. Brooks
Transforming the Intrapersonal Space and Going Beyond Change
Description
This course seeks to improve your knowledge and skills in Leadership. Unlike other courses on the topic, most of the course engages you in INTRO-SPECTION targeting your INTRA-personal awareness. The Advance Leadership Model, also called Advance Leadership, requires a person to be purposeful in obtaining and deepening self-awareness for individual growth within an organization. It is the practice of Intentional and purposeful action around professional development and self-development.
Benefits: How will the learner profit from the course?
Learners will benefit from presentation of the competencies, skills, and application of the Advance Leadership model. This knowledge and reflective exercises will set the stage for enhanced leadership. Great leadership requires self-awareness of your values, beliefs, and perspectives and the impact you make with your influence personally or professionally. You will gain that insight as you engage with this course content.
Target Audience: Who is this course created for?
This course is targeted toward both beginners who are keen on improving their skills and leaders who recognize the need for intrapersonal growth. Leaders recognize the need for continuing education. They will especially benefit from the context of Advance Leadership including its comparison to Transformational Leadership.
Skills that Will Be Gained: What practical abilities will the learner gain?
Learners will engage a new structure and perspective on self-correction, alignment, and sustainability. Leaders will learn through a model that prioritizes person-centered leadership, balance, and personal and professional integration. The result is a perspective on leadership that starts with you, the leader.
Features of the Course: What innovative or unique methods does the course utilize for learning and presentation?
This course incorporates a competency-based approach setting it apart from other courses. The skills of Advance Leadership are presented in five separate lessons. Every lesson in the course ends with a guided exercise entitled “Reflection for You as a Leader” supporting the type of introspection that engages learning and inspires application. The final three lessons are specific application of the Advance Leadership model to real-life tasks that leaders must undertake. Included in the final lesson is the reflective exercise to create your complete Leadership Action Plan. The outline for that action plan alone is worth the price of admission.
Ideal Student: Who is the ideal student for the course?
The ideal student for this course is interested in becoming a great leader. Even though hesitant about self-assessment and self-reflection, this leader understands that risking new knowledge—even when it is knowledge about self—is a worthy exercise.
