Ratings: 4.31 / 5.00

Description

This course focuses on key developmental areas, as well as situations that may impact your child's emotional development and their behaviour. No two kids are the same; however, there are essential skills that you can learn to improve your parenting and create a well-functioning family.

Each unit will contain key topics, and tools to help you become a parenting powerhouse!

You will be learning about key stages of emotional development- from birth to adulthood- and how to recognise where things may have gone wrong and how to improve it.

You will be exploring communication styles and how to get the best from your child, through the words you use. In addition, you will learn how to help your child become a better communicator.

We often say that our child has inherited a parent's traits. To a certain extent this is true, but a child's environment and how they respond to their role models have a bigger impact. I will be providing knowledge and teaching you to produce a well-rounded, resilient, and secure human being.

Whether your child is a toddler, adolescent, pre-teen, or teenager, you will be learning methods and tools to improve their behaviour, build their self-esteem, and help develop their emotion regulation and communication skills.

In addition, you will learn about the impact your parents have had on your parenting skills and how you are using these to shape your own child.

Finally, you will be exploring Karpman's Drama Triangle and your position in the family, as well as your communication skills. With a household filled with various ages, personalities, and levels of development, it is no wonder things can sometimes be challenging.

On completion of this course, I am confident you will view parenting through new eyes and have the skills and knowledge to improve any difficult child or situation.
