Description
If until now you have not been able to implement the INDEPENDENT management of “alternative and augmentative communication systems (SAAC)” equipment in your users, you need this course.
The "Alternative Communication Systems (SAC)" or "alternative and augmentative communication systems (SAAC)", encompass or include all the options, tools, techniques or strategies that can be used to facilitate the communication of people with serious difficulties for speech; to develop or recover the ability to communicate, when this function is altered by sensory, physical or psychic causes.
During this Module we will build on a basic idea.
"Every human being is born with an instinct for communication." and therefore with a need for communication.
Speech is an ability, sometimes confined by a disabling situation, which we could describe, based on the book by "Jean-Dominique Bauby", as a "helmet deep sea" that locks the person in an undeserved prison; requiring the search for alternatives, which allow the person with absence, or serious speech difficulties, efficient communication, for the topics and in the contexts of their interest.
Based on the implementation of understandable content for the person. Regardless of your disability.
Becoming the alternative Augmentative communication, in a basic element, for the understanding of the information, in various contexts, mainly social and educational.
