Description

If you play an instrument or sing, you may feel limited when performing your favorite music. For example, you may not know all the chords, or how to change a song's key (transport). Perhaps you would like to know more scales, so you could improvise or compose new melodies easier. Maybe you dream of knowing how to make arrangements for instruments or vocals.

When we learn to play an instrument, we usually learn the basic chords and scales only, but we don't learn the general rules of music. The rules that apply to any musical instrument or genre. On the contrary, we learn confusing theories and formulas that seem nothing to do with music!

Some people can play very well but can't explain how to do it! It's frustrating to look for tutorials and resources, and only find incomplete information on the Internet.

This course was designed to cover all the fundamental elements of modern harmony, in a clear and easy-to-follow way. The goal is that you can become a solid musician who understands all the theoretical concepts and, more importantly, apply them!

This course is the first part of a complete music learning system. At this level you will learn:

  • All major and minor scales

  • All the musical intervals, diatonic and chromatic

  • All the modal scales (Greek modes) and its applications

  • 3-note and 4-note chords: augmented, diminished, suspended, dominants, etc.

  • Principles to harmonize melodies and create different voices in an arrangement

  • Principles to use scales when creating melodies or improvising on any instrument

  • Principles for music arrangement and composition

This is not a music reading course. This course was created to help musicians to take their musicianship to the next level. With this course, you will improve your music creation skills, your improvisation and music performance.

You don't need any previous knowledge in music. You just need the desire to learn music from the ground up.

This course will allow you to:

  • Understand what is going on "inside" your favorite songs, as you will understand their harmony and progressions.

  • Improve your improvisation skills. You will know how to use scales in a musical way.

  • Know the principles of harmonization and reharmonization, so you can start creating fresh arrangements.

  • Communicate in a better way with other musicians.

Many music schools and conservatories teach music theory in a confusing and somewhat cryptic way. This makes the students to spend years without truly understanding what is all that knowledge for.

"Great course. I am already fairly advanced with musical theory, but this course was well presented and one always learns something new from a different perspective or a different teacher."  Steve E.

The concepts and methodology of this course will save you hours of struggle, as you will learn in a very efficient way. These concepts can be applied to any instrument (piano, guitar, bass, sax, violin, vocals, etc.) and any music genre!:

  • Pop

  • RnB/Hip Hop

  • EDM

  • Country/Folk

  • Rock

  • Latin

  • etc.

With this course, you will take the first step to getting a solid music education at the highest level. The course covers topics equivalent to one semester of college-level instruction!
