Description

Hi, my name is Lana Marconi and I practice TCM Acupuncture in my clinic and I prescribe herbs to patients. Over the years I have also incorporated aromatherapy into my health business and I have observed their wellness benefits. For example, I use aromatherapy face oils in my cosmetic acupuncture treatments and I use aromatherapy body oils in my tuina massage treatments.

Also, as a Wellness Expert for Nuworld Botanicals, my sister’s company in Oakville, Ontario Canada, I have been involved in her aromatherapy products as featured in Whole Foods Markets, The Shopping Channel, and Well-dot-ca, just to mention a few of the major store and distribution outlets that have carried her aromatherapy products.

I decided to create a course to share with you the healing advantages of using aromatherapy whether personally or professionally. I have called this course “Aromatherapy Foundations and Formulas.” It’s a beginner’s course, introducing you to some of the science behind the oils and also showing you how to create essential oil formulas and apply them topically. (This course does not teach internal consumption of oils.) Given my Doctorate Degrees in Energy Medicine and Transpersonal Psychology, I learned how to conduct research in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine field.

In this course I cover approximately 46 oils, 30 of which are popular essential oils and the rest being carrier oils. You can peruse the course to see the oils that are covered. I thoughtfully go through and explain each oil profile and also provide research supporting their properties as taught through my Power Point presentation of slides that I also give you as PDFs. If you like this style of learning, whereby I’m reading to you information, then this course is for you.

In the second half of this course, you will learn how to easily craft and blend various essential oils with carrier oils so as to create luxurious and natural body, bath and hair products. This section is taught by our Master Mixologist at Nuworld Botanicals, Marga Nieves.

For example, you will learn how to create a roll-on for acne spot treatment. Other useful and exciting DIY products you will craft include: a face oil, a hair treatment oil, a body massage oil, a deodorant, and a bath salt soak. There are many products you will learn how to make in this course and you can read about them in the course description. For some of the products I show you how to apply them to specific acupressure points.

For my Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture colleagues, I show you how to apply various essential oils according to TCM patterns, acupuncture points and even the 5 elements theory. (If you are not a TCM Acupuncturist, that’s okay, you can skip through these slides.)

I hope you enjoy the science and art of aromatherapy and that this course helps to elevate your health and wellness. If you have any questions, comments or even feedback feel free to message me. Thank you.
