Description

Did anyone ever teach you to ask questions?

Maybe.  But if not, this course will help you.  As a teacher and coach I know how important it is to ask questions, but so many times no one tells us how to do it.  And if you are so focused on what you are going to say next no true communication is occurring.  We will look at how questions, when asked correctly, can allow the other person time to reflect and allow you to gain important information about a situation.

In this course, you will learn the reasons why curiosity is important, what it is, and how to use it to harness the power that difficult conversations can bring.

You will:

analyze your own experiences

learn how to ask questions

learn tips to use to calm and focus during difficult situations

practice

reflect on your experiences

This course is for you if you are a coach, mentor, teacher, manager, parent, advisor or really if you interact with humans in any way.  If can give you strategies to use when you are the one asking the questions or when you find a situation difficult.  Instead of speaking at or to someone, we explore why listening is important.  You are provided with sentence starters to use so that it can become a skill.
