This course is addressed to bridge designer and student in civil engineering.

Before we start. let me introduce CSI BRIDGE software.

CSI BRDIGE is an integrated software specialized in bridge structural analysis under static and dynamic load. It is a powerful program in the design of different types of bridge. In fact, it enables engineer to model bridges with:

  • Complex geometries especially skewed and curved bridge,

  • Large variety of deck section like Box girder section, concrete Deck slab, Precast I girder, and so on;

  • Many analysis features like staged construction, creep and shrinkage of concrete, many behavior law…

With this course you will learn how to model a bridge with CSI BRIDGE.

Step by step we will construct a bridge model and perform a structural analysis.

Through a practical example you will learn, step by step, how to model a bridge structure.

We will define:

  • the global geometry of the bridge: define the horizontal, vertical layout lanes,

  • Bridge components and their proprieties (section and material) and the bridge object.

  • Vehicle used to bridge design.

  • Load and load combinations.

Then we will perform structural analysis and display results under different forms (graphical and tabular form).
