Building Better Behaviour
How expectations, routines, rituals and teaching strategies can support behaviour for learning in your classroom
Description
Teaching can be incredibly rewarding, the best job in the world.
It can also be one of the most challenging ones.
30 human beings in a single classroom and you are responsible for what happens in it.
Managing the different behaviours and developing positive relationships with all students is perhaps the one thing that takes the most energy and takes the most amount of time.
Myself and Andy Taylor are both experienced teachers and we have put together this course - ‘building better behaviour’ to help you if you are a teacher who is looking to re-assert yourself in your classroom or perhaps you are starting out with a brand new class and want to figure out the best approach to take.
Understand how routines and expectations can support classroom management
Understand how narrating behaviour to and with students can be powerful
Understand how the concept of social norms can support better classroom behaviour
Gain support from leaders and colleagues
and so much more!
We know how stressful it can be, but we also know that preparation can help too!
I have been a history teacher since 2007 and have worked full time in 10 schools in that time. Andy is a former teacher and deputy headteacher who has worked in Primary schools for 14 years.
Thanks for taking an interest in our course - we know it can help you manage your classroom in the way you want to!
