  • “Chinese Culture, Customs, and Business Etiquette” is a course designed for everyone: expats, students, entrepreneurs, even simply those who are curious about China and the Chinese people.
  • This course has been designed to offer useful information to individuals with any occupation and previous knowledge of China and Chinese culture.
  • Expats, students, entrepreneurs, people abroad or already in China, and anyone who wants to learn more about China and its people.

Planning to visit China for business or pleasure? This course, “Chinese Culture, Customs, and Business Etiquette,” will provide you with a strong foundation of Chinese culture and customs to draw from during your visit.

An expat and entrepreneur, I have lived in Beijing, China for three years and have designed this course to convey the insights I’ve gathered about Chinese life, culture, customs, and business etiquette.

For each of these subjects, I’ve strived to include knowledge and guidelines that may not be immediately evident to travelers and business people, information that can only be learned from living in and experiencing China.

This course provides an overview of many aspects of Chinese culture, including the values and thinking style of the Chinese and symbols and other phenomena unique to Chinese culture, such as Chinese medicine and martial arts. You will also gain key insights into the Chinese economy and society.

The final lessons of this course are devoted to the study of Chinese business etiquette. I have provided tips and guidelines for everything from business attire to giving gifts. Due to popular request, I’ve also included lessons on understanding Chinese body language and styles of negotiation (which both differ broadly from the West). After this course, you will be fully prepared for your business trip to China.

The course contains 37 video lessons, several articles, and custom quizzes designed to help you master and retain material.

As I said, this course is suitable for everyone: expats, students, and entrepreneurs; those abroad or already in China, and anyone who simply wants to learn more about China and its people.
