Description
One of the significant impacts of globalisation has been a marked increase in the complexity of the supply chain and associated networks. These challenges require procurement and supply leaders to develop and lead modern day supply chains and understand the vital role that they have in the overall success of corporate and business strategy. This course is designed for such professionals as it focuses on the development, implementation, monitoring and optimisation of global supply chains and in the strategic influence of such chains on the achievement of competitive advantage. On completion of this course, learners will be able to evaluate the influence of strategic supply chain management and assess methods which are available to measure, improve and optimise supply chain performance. Building on the knowledge and skills learned at the CIPS Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply, you will be able to demonstrate strategic knowledge and leadership skills and find solutions to complex problems. This course is designed to develop transferable workplace skills such as excellent communication and the ability to work in and lead a team. You will gain an understanding of different perspectives and theories and will be able to critically analyse, interpret and evaluate complex information, concepts and ideas. This is a creative response module which requires a minimum pass of 50%.
