Folklore (referred to as “Alo” in Yoruba Language) can be described as the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community or event, passed through the generations by word of mouth.


There are many great folklores in Yoruba Land, in which many people are really curious to listen to. This course aims at showcasing different Yoruba Folklores (Alo Apagbe Ile Yoruba) which our fore-fathers used to entertain and educate the younger ones in their time. In a nutshell, folklore comes in form of a story!
