The course consists of five sections each focusing on a different aspect of your managerial responsibilities:

Beginnings: in this section, I have tried to simplify your first steps in your management role. We also will talk about your first team meeting and how to make the transition from peer to manager smoother.

Basics: this series of lectures focuses on the foundational tasks you will have as a manager. We will talk about distributing work and setting expectations. You will learn how to delegate work, communicate effectively, and build stakeholder relationships.

Inspiration: in order to build a high-functioning team, you need to know how to create shared values and vision for the future. You should also build team goals,  create team spirit and provide effective recognition.

Challenges: management is not just fun and games and you will no doubt encounter many challenges. The lectures in this section will provide you guidelines on how to manage personal conflict within the team, provide constructive feedback, introduce change and manage escalations.

Goodbyes: in the last section you will learn how to minimize the negative impact that resignations and terminations have on a team.

The course also contains tools and articles that will provide additional knowledge and support for your daily work.
