Description

The objective of  this course that the attendees will learn how to design the foundation under different facilities in oil and gas, refinary, petrochemical and power generation projects. The attendees will learn how to design the ring beam foundation under the steel tanks and to choose the best foundation type as per the tank diameter. In addition to that will learn the way to design the foundation under horizontal vessel such as separator, heat exchangers and other similar. The difference of design between separator and heat exchanger in design will be discussed and present the interface between structure or civil engineer and the mechnical engineer to obtain the required data for design. Th design guideline will be present during the course for all the static equipment.

The vertical vessel like a tower that are using in gas process and in some refinary have a special precuation in designing the foundation under the tower. therefore at the end of the course the target will acheive as the atttendess will learn the know-How of design foundation under different static equioment in oil and gas , refinary, petrochemical and power generation project.

The pipleine and piping inside the plant have a different types of support that should be design to be match with the piping engineer stress analysis will be present in this cousre with different types of support. An excel sheet to present the foundation design which under straining action for normal force, and shear and momoment in both direction will be illustarted.

You will receive a calculation example from my book at the end of the course.
