This course is designed to deliver important and various knowledge on construction contracts during pre-contract, post-contract stage, and construction claims in a short time, about 3 hours.
With highlighting the bigger picture, the course starts with topics related to the procurement process (pre-contract stage), procurement routes and Tender and Contract documents.
Then, the course highlights related selected topics including brief on FIDIC 1999 Construction Form (RED BOOK) and identifying couple of key clauses/topics. Key topics comprise issues which result out of the priority of Contract Documents, possession of project site (and access thereto), Contract Price and BOQ Rates.
The course briefly discusses main types of construction claims; time and cost claims.
The last section presents regular tasks performed by the contracts administrators / engineers and related topics.
