Ratings: 4.23 / 5.00

Description

This is Module 3 in my video course series on mastering the ABRSM Grade 6 Music Theory exam.

This course is for you if:

  • You have already passed (or are soon to pass) ABRSM or Trinity Grade 5 Music Theory
  • You would like to continue taking the higher music theory graded exams
  • You would like to know how to read an orchestral score

You will learn how to read the part for any orchestral instrument, including more obscure ones such as the cor Anglais or double bassoon.

You will quickly learn how to read intervals when the notes are in different clefs or transpositions, how to work out chords plus their inversions and prevailing key, how to write out ornaments as they might be played, how to work out what era a piece of music is likely from, or to name a likely composer.

You will also get practice in learning many of the foreign musical terms which are required knowledge at this grade.. You will need to know not only terms for tempo and dynamics, but also what the note names and instrument names are in Italian, French and German.

Support is included! I am on hand to answer your questions.
