About the Coach: Rustam Sharipov, a two-time Olympic gold medalist hailing from Ukraine, boasts an illustrious career. In 1992, he represented the Unified team, securing the team gold medal, and in 1996, while representing Ukraine, he clinched a gold medal on the parallel bars and a bronze in the team event. After competing in various International and World Championships, he retired from competitive gymnastics in 2000. Sharipov subsequently embarked on a coaching career in the United States, serving at renowned programs such as the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy, Houston Gymnastics Academy, and the University of Oklahoma. Presently, he serves as the Head Coach at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, furthering his legacy in the sport.
