Description

In this lesson series, veteran musician and choral director Sarah Bonsignore will teach you how to play simple chords, read basic notation, and perform holiday songs and carols at the piano within a few lessons! Learn at your own pace. If you're a total beginner, watch each video as many times as you need before moving on, and hit pause to take a minute and think on it! Learn how to accompany yourself and others beginning with 3 simple chords, and get ready to surprise your friends and family at Christmas as you lead them in a singalong!! Practice reading the notes in both the bass and treble clef, rhythms and chord symbols, as well as developing your ear for harmony throughout the process. Put some tools in your music toolbox for improvising at the piano for fun, and become a better and more confident singer in the process! The lessons are appropriate for beginners, as well as advanced students who are interested in learning how to read chord symbols and improvise. By the end of the series you will be able to print out more simple holiday songs in C major (and G major;), and begin working out the chord symbols and patterns yourself!
