Learn the Vectorworks Fundamentals basics by following along with the videos
You'll learn through using the tools in the software to create a basic plan layout for a two floor cafe space, inclusive of walls, doors, windows, stairs, bathroom fittings and furniture like tables and chairs. You can then take your learnings with you into your own work or personal projects
In the course you'll cover:
• Navigating the workspace and user interface
• Setting up the units of the project e.g. mm, square metres or feet
• Drawing to scale with lines and shapes
• Common keyboard shortcuts to improve your speed and productivity
• Using the line and shape editing tools in the basic palette and beyond such as clip, mirror, add to surface, clip surface, offset, fillet, layering and rotating
• Adding colours, hatches, patterns, line weights, transparency, textures and arrows from the attributes panel
• Learning how to utilise the classes and layers effectively, learning how they relate and navigating through them
• Importing a DWG through the introduction of furniture and fittings (DWG is included in the course resources)
• Setting up sheets as pages and editing or annotating them and using automated title blocks with data links
• Exporting your drawings as PDFs to share electronically or for print purposes
