LabXpress - Environmental Laboratory
Environmental Laboratory Online Course
Description
Become an expert on the Laboratory bench and learn how to carry out the main analyzes (tests) of the Laboratory, with a focus on the Environment.
The course was designed to, in 5 modules, teach you how to analyze pH, Alkalinity, Electrical Conductivity, Color and Turbidity in liquid samples of environmental interest.
And each of these modules will show how the parameter is determined in the Laboratory / how the analysis is carried out on the bench.
With 8 years of experience in the Clinical Analysis Laboratory and 11 more years in the Environmental Laboratory, I was able to live and still live with brilliant people: students, technicians and professors who taught me a lot of what I know about methodologies and behavior within the laboratory environment.
And this course is the compilation of what I learned and which I decided to share in a quick and practical immersion training for those who want to get their hands dirty in the Laboratory and don't know where to start.
The LabXpress methodology of minimalist animation allows you, the Laboratory user, to readily recognize the figures of the glassware and equipment shown in the videos and know exactly how to act in the Laboratory you have access to or intend to work in the future.
As a LabXpress student, you'll have access to video classes to watch whenever you want and wherever you are, with content length just right to provide answers in the shortest possible time, because we know you're a busy professional!
If your dream is to have a virtual ally for the most common doubts that arise on the workbench, it is for you that we made LabXpress!
Wear your virtual lab coat and come with me :)
What You Will Learn!
- Measure the pH and Alkalinity of a liquid sample using a pH meter.
- Determine the Electrical Conductivity and Color of a liquid sample using the conductivity meter and the spectrophotometer.
- Measure the turbidity of the samples, differentiating the turbid from the clear, using a turbidimeter / nephelometer.
- Calibrate the pH meter, conductivity meter and turbidimeter (user level calibration).
- Obtain reliable results on the bench, avoiding unnecessary expenditure of time and reagents.
Who Should Attend!
- Beginner Laboratory assistant, technician, and analyst.
- Technical, undergraduate, and postgraduate students in the environmental area who feel a little lost in their experiments.
- Teacher who needs to update their laboratory practices to teach better.
