Description
This course is great for those seeking a quick intro into Australian Law, whether as a student, or for those working in a role impacted by legislation, these may be government employees, policy writers, project managers, procurement practitioners and contract managers.
The course will cover the origins of Australian Law, including the establishment of the Australian Legal System as well as the separation of powers.
We will then focus on two arms: the Legislative and the Judicial as these are the main impacts for those in a business law context. In doing so we will explain each and provide examples as to their operations and impacts.
Within the Statute and Common law module, we will create quick contrast between Statute and Common law and what occurs if there is a disparity between the two.
The program will conclude with some examples of legislation and how they impact a role. This is to show the broad nature of legislation and its practical implications, for the purpose of this the role of the contract manager has been used, however many of the laws discussed can be applied to a multitude of roles.
The course has been developed with the learner in mind and we have aimed to make it engaging and delivered in a relaxed casual style. There are also knowledge questions to test your understanding as well as practical examples within the videos.
