Learn how to become a Green Advisor
The first of 10 lessons on how to become an accredited Green Advisor
Description
The BTEC level in Environmental Studies aims to bring together education, technology and the environment to provide students with a range of skills which could lead to qualifying for a degree in Eco Tourism or other degree relating to the environment.
Successful completion of this course could also lead to becoming a Green Ambassador for the world renowned international organisation Green Destinations.
The first part of the course examines the elements of the environments and opportunities for examining the renewable energy aspects which could ultimately result in being qualified to look at employment opportunities in the renewable energy field.
The second part of the course looks at the basics of sustainable tourism, how public services contribute to environmental protection, how community projects can contribute to economic sustainability, and an introduction to the “Green Destination” project. What is sustainable tourism is the main message, as it is often misunderstood.
There are course books which you can purchase on Amazon to supplement your knowledge.
This is the first of 10 lessons leading to an accredited course as a Green Advisor so that you can get a job with one of the accreditation agencies. We can advise on placements, both in Universities and in industry for those who have successfully completed the course. We organise trips to some of the places mentioned in the course at an extra cost.
