Description

Do you want to learn how to read and write music, but you don't know where to start?

I will show you in a fun and engaging way all the characteristics of what a sound is so you can have a holistic basic understanding of what music is comprised from.

In this course for beginners you will learn the musical notes, what a staff is and many more.

This is a theory and practice course. I believe that only theory courses don't let you assimilate the content in its full potential. This is why we are going to learn with theory and practice to really internalize all the concepts of the course.

First we are going to learn a little bit about music history, to get an understanding of where things come from, and why they are the way they are. We are going to identify the different elements of a staff, and learn the different notes that exist. Like I told you besides the theory, we are going to practice. I am going to make some dictations so you can start training your ear.

The last section is divided in four parts, where we identify and explain each characteristic of a sound: pitch, rhythm, dynamics and timbre. All of this lectures have fun and engaging exercises so you can learn while you enjoy the process.
