This course covers everything you need to know to become a great relationship counselor. You will learn all the basics and advanced techniques that make a counselor effective. We will cover common problems you'll encounter in sessions and teach you traditional and solution-based counseling methods. This course is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their counseling skills or work as a relationship counselor. The course is divided into eight sections, with each section building upon the previous one.
Our course is written in a way that is easy to understand and broken down into bite-sized topics, making it easy for students to follow along and retain the information. We understand that relationship counseling can be complex, so we've made it a priority to present the material in a way that is both informative and accessible.
Furthermore, we believe that learning should not just be theoretical, but practical as well. That's why throughout the course, we provide practical examples that illustrate how to apply the concepts covered in real-life counseling situations. This allows students to see how the theoretical concepts apply in practice, making it easier for them to remember and apply the material. We believe that by breaking down the material into bite-sized topics and providing practical examples, students will be able to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective relationship counselors.
This course covers a lot of ground! In the first section, students will learn the basics of relationship counseling and the common topics that arise during counseling sessions, as well as how to set up a welcoming environment for clients.
Sections 2 and 3 focus on foundational skills and common issues for relationship counselors. Students will learn how to build rapport, actively listen, set boundaries, and address issues such as intimacy, trust, and mental health. They will also gain insights into beginner counseling methods, advanced counseling skills, and useful tools to support your sessions.
Sections 4-8 delve into both beginner and more advanced skills and techniques for relationship counseling. This includes the techniques for the following 3 types of counselling:
Traditional counselling methods
Solution based counselling methods
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Students will also learn structures of counselling sessions, developing treatment goals, identifying and addressing communication issues, understanding conflict resolution, theories of love and relationships, coping skills and resilience, an attachment needs, patterns of interaction and much more.
By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of relationship counseling and the skills necessary to be an effective relationship counselor.
