Description

Hey Folks!

Hope you all are doing great!

In this course, we will travel to the wonderful world of Meenakari Art using Modern Day Material.

The word Mīnākārī is a compound word composed of the words mina and kari. Mīnā is a feminine variation of the word mīnū which means paradise or heaven. Kārī means to do or place something onto something else. Together the word Mīnākārī means to place paradise onto an object.

Meenakari is an age old art form of decorating metal with coloured enamel. It is reputed for its excellent designs and beautiful colour combinations. Not only the art form is mesmerising to look but also interesting to make! The key factor here is preparing  the texture paste which can be used in variety of  art forms such as Persian and other Relief arts. I have covered all the basics right from "How to Prime a Canvas before Painting " which  will  be helpful even while painting other stuff. Feel free to contact anytime through mail if there seems to be any sort of confusion while doing the process.

Also, I have simplified the traditional process of making Meenakari painting so that you can do it with material easily available in your local stores as well! Do enjoy the course and let me know your feedback!
