Mental Health
Awareness of Mental Health
Description
To live life happily and peacefully it is mandatory to have good peace of mind, in order to concentrate in work, study or Job. The whole state of a person's emotional, psychological, and social well-being is referred to as their mental health. It includes a person's capacity to deal with everyday challenges, control emotions, create and uphold healthy relationships, and make wise judgments. In addition to physical health, mental health is a critical component of overall wellbeing.
People with good mental health are better able to enjoy life, cope with difficulties and setbacks, and make important contributions to their communities. On the other hand, a person's daily functioning and overall quality of life may be negatively impacted by poor mental health, which can result in a variety of emotional and psychological problems.
There are many different mental health illnesses or disorders, which can be moderate or severe.
1. Anxiety disorders include phobias, panic attacks, and generalized anxiety disorder.
2. Mood disorders include bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder.
3. Schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder are psychotic disorders.
4. Eating disorders include binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, and anorexia nervosa.
5. Narcissistic and borderline personality disorders are two examples of personality disorders.
6. Alcohol or drug addiction is a substance use disorder.
7. Post-stressful Stress Disorder (PTSD): Caused by stressful events frequently.
It is crucial to understand that everyone experiences times of good and difficult mental health throughout their lives. Mental health is a spectrum. Genetics, brain chemistry, life experiences, family history, and social and environmental influences are some of the elements that affect mental health.
Seeking help when necessary, leading a healthy lifestyle (including regular exercise, a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep), partaking in enjoyable hobbies, and fostering supportive connections with others are all part of promoting good mental health. Individuals who are dealing with serious or persistent mental health issues may also benefit from receiving professional assistance, such as therapy or counselling. De-stigmatizing mental health issues is essential to establishing a compassionate and supportive culture. Mental health should be addressed with the same priority as physical health.
