“HST” stands for “Harnessing the Speed of Thought.” This model initiates the change process where it actually begins, in the human brain, then expands outwards through teams and leaders to move the entire organization forward. By beginning with the latest findings in neuroscience, this new model creates a direct path from an idea, to discussions, to decisions, to implementing change and then to sustaining change. It works by supporting critical people needs first, which then support business needs.

What makes this course different? As an expert in human behavior, I help business leaders and employees interact with each other and with customers in the most productive ways, mostly using tools I have created over the past 50 years. Other change models focus on the business change and then help people accept and adjust. This model emphasizes emotions. The focus is on logic and emotions in every step of change. When logic and emotions are included, everything works better. By the end of this course, you will be able to successfully plan and lead just about any change effort.  

I created the HST Model for Change while teaching change management workshops. I realized that what I was teaching (the most popular change models) lacked important elements that made them almost impossible to implement without undue stress and workarounds. The HST Model can enhance models you currently use (such as Kotter or ADKAR), or as an effective stand-alone process. Either way, you will manage change in your organization with a greater chance of success.

The HST Model will be a strong tool in your change management tool kit.
