Description

Today's decision-making meetings can happen in a variety of different methods: in person, remotely, and with people located in different parts of the world. It is not always easy to be an active participant, for several reasons:

- The purpose of the meeting is unclear

- You haven't been told what your real contribution is

- Sia knows when it begins, but not when it ends.

Be clear about what to ask when you are called to be able to prepare, even if only mentally, for the different aspects:

- Duration of the meeting: you need to understand the degree of detail that you will be allowed

- Result of the meeting: what we need to achieve/produce

- Skills: which of my skills are required, and which are not.

- Who will be present and in what role

- Preparation: if I have to prepare material

- How much time will I have to expose it

- to many others.

Decision-making meetings are the place where you can understand how to then work independently, or how to collaborate with internal and external colleagues, but above all in what way.

Leave the meeting with clear ideas, satisfied with your contribution and ready to proceed with what has been decided.

Wouldn't that be nice? also to dedicate the right energy and time to the various meetings in which we are involved, and avoid those where we are not needed.
