Description

This lecture includes all knowledge and know-how I have gotten while working as a HVAC engineer since 2009. I tried to explain as much as I can about the new and best tactics used in the actual field. So, I organized agenda useful for not only beginners but experts who know almost everything about systems of HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning) except for the automatic control. For example, you can feel that they are my daily issues I need to handle while working as an engineer or a technician in the HVAC field after checking the topics.

I did my best to explain about the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) program as easy as possible with minimum functions. I bet that this lecture will be incredibly helpful for you not only when you reviewing the others’ program but also making your own program.

You will understand about the below after this lecture.

  • What input and output signals are and how to use them for PLC programming

  • What constants and variables are and how to handle them

  • A way to deal with digital output signals for AHU (Air Handling Unit), ACCU (Air Cooled Condensing Unit), Fan, Pump, Chiller, EDH (Electric Duct Heater), EHU (Electric Humidifier), motorized dampers/valves and so on.

  • A procedure for configuring alarms with PLC program

  • How to deal with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) AHU with a PID controller

  • A way to operate TCV (Temperature Control Valve) with a PID controller

  • What interlock signals mean and how to configure them with PLC program

  • How to configure interface signals

  • How to operate many devices or equipment with a specific order

  • How to build programs for special functions like re-circulation mode

I hope you will enjoy your program work after taking lecture. And if you have any topic you want me to explain, please let me know through feedback or email. Good luck.
