Production systems; Quantitative methods for forecasting; Aggregate planning; Inventory control;

Materials requirement planning; Production scheduling; Capacity planning; Manpower planning and

facility design; Shop floor control. Enterprise resource planning systems (ERP).


2. Course Main Objective

The objective of course is to provide the basic knowledge in the field of production planning and

inventory control in product and service companies and the acquisition of competencies for the

implementation of modern systems for planning, directing and controlling

2.2 Apply theoretical knowledge and experience from a number of practical examples processed at solving the problems of planning and managing work processes

2.3 Demonstrate proficiency in using software packages relevant to engineering e.g. MatLab, IIS-software for managing work processes, SAP PP applications for planning and managing production., etc.

2.4 Interpret the given problem through effective writing skills
