Resume 2.0
Door-opening resumes for job seekers
Description
Whether you want to create your first resume the right way or hope to revise an existing resume, this is the right course for you. I have been writing resumes for 20 years for college students, seasoned professionals, and C-level executives.
In this course, you'll learn why resumes matter to employers, which components recruiters and applicant tracking systems care about, and how to write your own resume and write it well. We'll cover key categories, including the professional summary or branding statement, your skills sections, your experience section, and more. This course is Resume 2.0 because I'm not just giving you quick tips and throwing stats at you. I'm helping you learn to write and revise your own resumes. The goal is to learn to do this yourself and to save you hundreds of dollars.
You won't just learn how to copy and paste your job descriptions from previous jobs into your experience section; you will learn how to write your own accomplishment statements. Same for the skills section--you won't just learn which keywords to copy/paste from job postings. You'll learn how to use strong critical thinking skills while analyzing job postings, reflecting on your strengths, and marrying the two.
You'll also receive a free downloadable resume writing checklist.
So let's get started in opening doors for you as a job seeker through a great resume.
