Description

Introduction: Process Builder is a workflow tool that helps automate business processes without writing a single line of code. For example, imagine that a company you do business with (which we call an Account in Salesforce), changes its location. You'd want a way to automatically update the business address of all the people that work at that company (your Contacts).

In this Quick Start, you'll do exactly that: create a new process that updates Contact records whenever the Account billing address changes. As you'll see, it's quite easy, and doesn't require a shred of code.

Get Started with Process Builder: Process Builder is a point-and-click tool that lets you easily automate if/then business processes and see a graphical representation of your process as you build.

Process Builder

Use Process Builder when you need to start a behind-the-scenes business process automatically. Processes can start when:

  • Use embedded Salesforce Anywhere docs with live Salesforce data and embedded chats and conversation.

  • Stop copy/pasting data or making decisions based on stale data.

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand how to use Process Builder to create organized workflows and automatically share documents and information.

  • Explain how to use standard Salesforce Anywhere actions to add Salesforce Anywhere documents, spreadsheets, slides, chatrooms, and notifications into Salesforce instances.
