On this course you are going to learn the main features of the General Ledger on SAP.


First of all, we will make an introduction to the GL module, so we could explore its most important issues. We will also learn the meaning of “chart of accounts” and how it works on SAP.

Then, we will study the organizational structure of the module. In other words, the different areas and data hierarchy in which GL are organized. For example, we will learn about the client, the Company Code and the Controlling Area.  

Thirdly, we will explore the integration and connections of the GL module with the other modules on SAP. And then we will learn the procedure to make a period end closing and a year-end closing.  

Then, we will learn how to use the many tools that SAP provides us to manage the exchanges rates of different currencies. We will explore the concepts of local currency, hard currency and group currency.  

Finally, we will learn how to use the many tools that SAP provides us to make reports, such as the line items reports and GL account balances.
