Description

When a company implements SAP, they usually engage a consulting agency to mass cleanse and mass load all their master data from their legacy system(s).  They design and load the company structures based on locations as well as production or processes.  The assets of value are loaded with perhaps detailed sub-structures, assemblies, spare parts and consumables for servicing.  Sometimes this loading is not accomplished following best practices as to the use of templates (Reference Functional Locations) or common assemblies of bills of materials for common assets based on manufacturer and model as well as function.  Duplication of efforts in creation and future management create problems and waste time.  After the consultants leave, often no one is adequately trained in how best to manage all the corporation's asset master data with a corporate wide scope towards efficiency, accuracy and reduced effort.  This short course highlights the most important efficient manners to manage assets, documents and maintenance to increase accuracy, efficiency and remove redundancy and duplications.  The main goal of this demonstration course is to "show the forest for the trees", ie. a birds eye view of the best practices and techniques in Master Data and Maintenance Management.   I hope you enjoy the course and it encourages you to learn these topics in more depth.
