Description

This course, General Math Strategies, is the 3rd of 7 courses in the series of "Last Minute Prep For the SAT Math Success." It is about general strategies that the students can use to solve the SAT math questions.

Most of the strategies included in this course is independent of the subject or style. For example, the question may be a trigonometry or algebra question, or it can be a grid-in or a multiple-choice question. The question can be in "No Calculator" section or in "Calculator is Allowed" section. Most of the strategies can be applied to all.

The style of the course:
The strategies are defined and critical points that the student needs to be careful of are explained. Example(s) for each strategy are provided. Examples vary in their difficulty level. In many cases, the examples will force the student to think out of the box.

Some of the strategies may be familiar to your student. Even in those cases, the examples presented here shows your student how creative he/she can be in applying a familiar strategy.

With the exception of the last lesson, there is no math teaching. In a few places, we only review some math topics just to remind the student some of the commonly forgotten points.

These strategies are intended to help your student to increase his/her SAT math score, but they will also help he/she in any high school math test.
