In this series the learner will be introduced to concepts in cybersecurity, such as the core principles of security, wired and wireless network security. The learner will explore topics like operating system security and security software and more.

Network Security: Focuses on network security concepts, including secure network design, network protocols, firewall technologies, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks (VPNs), and wireless network security.

Operating System Security: Students will explore security measures and best practices for securing operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS). Topics covered may include user account management, access control, file permissions, patch management, and system hardening.

Security Layers: Core security principles such as the CIA triad, and controls to implement confidentiality, integrity and availability as well as the principle of least privilege.
