Watercolor Painting Projects For Beginners
Improve Your Watercolor Skills Through Practice!
Description
If you're a beginner who is feeling stuck with watercolor painting then this is the course for you. I'll take you through six simple watercolor paintings designed to help you improve your watercolor skills through practice.
As we go along I'll give you tips and advice on color mixing, blending colors wet-in-wet, how to start and build a watercolor painting, creating textures, how to mix black and how to add realistic looking shadows.
Each of the six projects is designed for you to paint along with me but feel free to make each painting your own as you experiment with mixing colours and applying paint. Each painting tutorial builds on the one before it, starting from the most simple and moving to more complex subjects.
Projects include:
1. Leaf Motif - basic wet in wet and wet on dry techniques
2. Seas & Skies - creating a mood with color and technique
3. Headland - create distance in a landscape
4. Green Pear - create the illusion of 3D form
5. Sunset Skies - Blend colors wet in wet and how to mix black
6. Lily - a floral study
This course is suitable for people with basic watercolor experience, or for those with no experience at all if you are willing to dive right in and give it a go! If you have worked with watercolor before you may like to choose which painting you start with. If you are a beginner I recommend starting from the first painting and working through to the last painting.
I hope you'll join me for some relaxing watercolor practice time!
