Teaching Your Own Child

for Parents of Children Aged 5-10

Ratings: 4.78 / 5.00

Description

In this course, you will learn how to make a learning time with your child be more productive and less emotionally charged. Working with your own child can present more challenges than working with a child that you do not also parent. This course helps explain why this is and how you can deal with the issue. The tautology in the title was intentional.

Even if you are not a parent, this course will help you find a routine that will help you deal with children who are resistant and/or have a poor attitude toward learning academics.

In the second half of the course, the basics for improving reading and math skills will be covered. Helping children improve their reading can help them flourish in other subjects since many subjects require reading as a means of learning. Improved reading also improves writing because it models grammar and vocabulary. Fortifying basic math skills helps students confidently and capably learn other topics in math. These two areas will give students the skills they need to feel confident and tackle other learning challenges.

This course will give you enough material to use in order to help a child struggling in school or lay the foundation for those who aren't struggling but could use a boost in their academics.
