This workshop is a great tool to develop the idea of your story or to revise and to make a stronger draft of an already written story.
The goal of the workshop is to determine the correct message and set a solid foundation on which you will build the story.
Who this workshop is for:
This workshop is aimed at screenwriters, filmmakers, novelists, fiction writers, game designers and developers, and anyone who loves to tell stories.
However, you already must have at least something written, this is not a guide on how to write a story, but how to make it stronger.
It has 4 chapters and 3 additional parts with lots of examples and 10 written tasks.
What you will learn:
How to define the message of your story.
How to write an extended message to build a strong structure.
How to work with senses and theses to get a solid map for a synopsis.
You will write a synopsis, treatment and script/story.
Additional parts:
The final stage: checking the script (characters, motivation, character arc, dialogues,loops, details).
Ending of the film (open and closed ending, positive and negative ending).
Logline, synopsis, treatment (basic rules of writing).
The workshop might seem short; only 37 minutes, but it requires a lot of work completing the tasks.
